Hardware Test Engineer II

Job DescriptionInsight Global is looking for a Hardware Test Engineer to join one of the world's leading technology companies. This will be part of the Reality Labs organization which brings people around the world through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The main function of a hardware engineer is to research, design, develop, test computer or computer-related equipment for commercial, industrial, military, or scientific use. A typical hardware engineer is responsible for the manufacture and installation of computer or computer-related equipment and components. The ideal candidate will be working with a collaborative team that is very supportive of one another. There are weekly team meetings for data review.Responsibilities:

Develop resilient procedures and implement reliable software patterns to automate controlling devices

Monitor functioning of equipment and make necessary modifications to ensure system operates within specifications

Regular interaction with various operating systems and protocols; macOS, windows, unix, ADB devices

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize automation opportunities

Write high-quality, maintainable, and well-documented code

Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices

Stay up-to-date with new technologies and tools to continuously improve our automation capabilities

Experience working with hardware and interacting with it through software

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Strong communication and collaboration skills
