Job DescriptionOur Research and Development Division Future Talent Lead, P4, Associate Director reports to our Research and Development Division's HRBP, Executive Director Discovery, Preclinical, and Translational MedicineIn close consultation with our Research and Development Division's HR SLT this role will be accountable for the development of the Future Talent strategy for our company's Research Laboratories. The Associate Director will also be responsible for program management & administration of multiple future talent programs across our Research and Development Division's and will partner closely with Global Talent Acquisition - University Relations.Responsibilities include:

Drives our Research and Development Division's Future Talent Strategy and aligns programs to support it’s objectives. Manages the ongoing planning and implementation of our Research and Development Division's internship and co-op programs in partnership with University Relations and business leaders. Helps to execute on recruiting initiatives, ensuring cohesion of programs and a robust pipeline of emerging talent for our Research and Development Division's Spearheads our Research and Development Division's specific college/university recruiting efforts and drives to a coordinated approach for college outreach across our Research and Development Division's , fostering relationships with academic institutions to attract top-tier graduates.

Operates as Program Manager for our Research and Development Division's -Specific programs such as: Post Doc program, our Research and Development Division's PhD Program, our Research and Development Division's MD and PharmD recruiting and rotation programs, and others program as necessary. Establish mechanisms to enhance a supportive environment for research fellows to contribute meaningfully to projects while aligning academic pursuits with the goals of our Research and Development Division's .

Implements and champions our Research and Development Division's future talent diversity and inclusion initiatives, ensuring that recruiting and program outcomes align with our organizational D&I vision and works with our Research and Development Division's and Subdivisional committees to ensure alignment and coordination of D&I recruiting efforts.

Must Collaborate with internal stakeholders including our Research and Development Division's executives and department heads, Talent Acquisition & University Relations, and relevant our Research and Development Division's HRBPs to understand talent needs and facilitate workforce planning.

Helps to facilitate and provide industry leading guidance to hiring managers to create optimal experiences for students; leads hiring manager forums for direction setting, community of practice sharing etc.

As part of the UR Community of Practice, this role will be the our Research and Development Division's representative and responsible for understanding and sharing industry trends and best practices in order to continuously enhance talent acquisition and development strategies.

Develops and tracks outcomes metrics and recommends appropriate changes over time to evolve and enhance our Research and Development Division's Future Talent programs.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field

Minimum 10 years’ experience as an HR Business Partner, in an HR COE or in HR Operations role (with Masters’ degree, minimum experience is 8 years); or relevant applicable experience

Proven experience in talent acquisition and/or future talent programs, particularly in R&D or technology-driven environments.

Ability to think strategically to guide and align talent programs with organizational goals, often times in changing or ambiguous environments.

Excellent communication skills, ability to navigate ambiguity and provide clear, concise direction.

Ability to engage and establish strong relationships with numerous internal stakeholders in a complex environment.

Demonstrated ability to influence without formal authority across multiple stakeholder groups and successfully navigating a matrixed environment.

Strong understanding of academic and research environments, with a preference for experience in managing intern, co-op, and/or Post Doc programs.

Ability to interact with academia, candidates and participants of our Research and Development Division's future talent programs.

Prefer demonstrated success in designing and implementing diversity and inclusion initiatives.
