Custom Drapery & Window Treatment Fabricator / Installer

Fabric Walls Inc. is a well-established, niche drapery and wall upholstery workroom based in San Francisco. Founded in 1977, we specialize in high-quality, custom window treatments, including handmade fabric shades (such as Roman shades), woven wood blinds, custom curtains, and decorative hardware. We are currently seeking skilled individuals with experience in both fabrication and installation to join our team.

Responsibilities & Required Skills:

Fabrication and installation of custom window treatments

Proficient use of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, pneumatic staplers, and nail guns

Sewing skills, including hand sewing and operation of home and industrial sewing machines

Installation experience: comfortable working on ladders and lifting heavy curtains and hardware

Assist with loading and unloading tools, ladders, and materials at job sites

Strong mathematical aptitude with attention to detail and accuracy

Effective written and verbal communication skills in English

Valid driver’s license with a clean, insurable driving record

Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and collaborate in a team environment

Artistic sensibility paired with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Flexible and willing to travel out of town for work-related installations as needed

Position Details:

Full-time position preferred; part-time candidates will be considered

Standard work hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM

Competitive salary based on experience

Benefits available to full-time employees after 90 days
