Experienced Service Writer needed

PPM German Autowerk in Walnut Creek is searching for a full-time SERVICE WRITER. We offer extremely competitive compensation and a full suite of benefits.

A qualified SERVICE WRITER candidate will have the following qualities:

2+ years of service writing experience, preferably with Porsche or other German vehicles

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Familiarity with common industry software and suppliers.

A strong work ethic, a perfectionist attitude and a clean driving record

SERVICE WRITER responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

Promptly greeting customers who visit or call the shop

Listening to customers describe vehicle issues and asking follow-up questions to help diagnose issues

Compiling work estimates and clearly communicating them to the customer

Answering customers’ questions regarding the nature of repairs and associated costs

Entering complete, up to date customer information into a database

Coordinating with technicians to ensure efficient use of shop resources

Tracking the progress of each job via software, sourcing/ordering parts and communicating with customers and team as needed

Accepting payment when the job is complete and closing out / filing paperwork as appropriate
