Hourly Pay Range: Starts at $35-$36.50 or more Dependent on Experience (Must provide own tools)
Starting pay will depend on knowledge, skills, ability and the city that this open position is located.

We are in search of Lead Mechanics that have the ability to function well as part of a team. You must have very effective organizational and communication skills to service our clientele and lead a team of mechanics efficiently. Your goal is to ensure that Cresco provides the best rental equipment in Northern CA through the implementation of Quality Control and customer service.
As a Mechanic you would be responsible for maintaining the equipment we rent. We seek highly motivated mechanics with experience in construction and industrial equipment. Knowledge of hydraulics, electronics, gas and diesel machinery is preferred.
Minimum Requirements
Previous mechanic service experience in the equipment rental/construction industry and/or related field required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prioritize and assign equipment service and repairs to mechanics
Responsible for following up with equipment mechanics and small tool mechanics to ensure shop work is performed
to Cresco Standards and completed in a timely manner
Communicate with store office staff to ensure that equipment is serviced and repaired quickly and efficiently
Ensure that all equipment maintenance is in compliance with Cresco safety standards and practices
Reports any problems or potential problems with equipment to the Store Manager
Assigns wash-rack duties & wash pad, pressure washer, & recycling equipment maintenance as needed
Organize and define three (3) distinct lines of equipment. The lines should include “available” equipment, “wash
rack” equipment and “inside shop” equipment
Review and inspect the returned equipment list (wash rack) on a daily basis
Ensure that all equipment is tagged with any necessary descriptions of problems and in a visible area for inspection
Ensure all work orders are accurate and complete
Approve all parts orders from shop personnel
Assist store manager with maintaining accurate parts and tools inventory
Send parts for warranty consideration to Cresco Central Warehouse
Attend service courses offered by the company and take initiative to improve technical knowledge and skills on
equipment rented by Cresco Equipment Rentals
Maintain a technical library that includes a current Quality Control Binder
Train new hires and transfers in operational procedures & QC standards within their first 5 days of hire
Monitor performance of field service mechanics
Provide input and feedback on performance reviews and job interviews
Perform any other duties as assigned by the Store Manager, Regional Service Manager or any Cresco Manager
Education, Experience and Required Skills, Including Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid driver's license
5 + years of mechanical experience in all areas of repair
1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Activities requiring handling and grasping with the hands when performing repairs or maintenance of equipment by utilizing hand tools, power
tools, air tools, nuts, bolts, electronic controls, and other small parts
Occasional use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal on equipment to test operation
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs., occasional lifting up to 50 lbs., and infrequent lifting up to 75 lbs.
Ability to walk and stand on concrete and uneven surfaces for at least 4 hours per day
Ability to bend, kneel and work with arms raised for prolonged periods of time
Ability to climb over and into heavy equipment several times per day
Occasional working at heights above 10 ft
Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes
