We are looking for a highly skilled Field Supervisor to join our team at Danziger Builders.

At Danziger Builders we specialize in providing exemplary service to our legacy clientele. We handle it all - annual / quarterly maintenance all the way through changing light bulbs. It’s with this skillful service that we generate larger scale projects and are trusted with multiple properties of the same client. We are a small but efficient team looking for someone who can help take our business to the next level.

As a Field Supervisor, your role will be to work closely with the principal to ensure the quality and execution of each project / task is done with the utmost care and attention to detail.

This role is pivotal in execution and coordination of our ongoing service projects and for ensuring successful performance of the in-house team & subcontractors. You will oversee and direct all on-site activities, ensuring adherence to security / safety regulations, quality standards and project requirements. You will also be responsible for managing project information across multiple properties, sequence and scheduling of subcontractors, fostering a productive work environment and maintaining solid relationships with clients. You must possess a deep understanding of the construction processes with a driving curiosity for solving problems technically.

Objectives of this role:

Overseeing all aspects of onsite work, from planning and scope development to execution and completion

Managing project timelines and resources to achieve set objectives

Monitoring progress, tracking milestones and addressing issues or delays proactively

Coordinating with architects, engineers, subcontractors and in-house site crew to ensure efficient & accurate project execution

Conducting regular site visits to assess progress, quality and adherence to project specifications

Troubleshooting quickly and effectively to get urgent tasks completed

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and implementing measures to mitigate construction project risks

Work closely with the office manager and principal to ensure project billing, schedule forecasting and changes in scope are addressed in a timely manner

Partner with the Principal and Office Manager to create a formalized process & structure with the goal of creating an accountability practice, field culture and financial growth of the business

Key Responsibilities:

Project check in’s daily, weekly & monthly

Develop detailed & shareable project schedules, including task sequencing, resource allocation and critical milestones

Monitor progress against established timelines with the ability to adjust sequences creatively to maintain milestones

Oversee and coordinate all on-site activities, including material procurement, subcontractor management and workforce allocation, to ensure effective execution

Perform material take-offs and order placement for materials needed onsite

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards and project specifications

Maintain accurate project documentation, including records of site activities, progress reports, change orders and as-built drawings

Along with the Principal and Office Manager, work to create a formalized process that fosters financial growth of the business

Provide regular progress updates to the office manager, principal and clients

Foster a positive work environment, providing leadership, guidance and support to the team, encouraging productivity

Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts during construction, implementing appropriate solutions and escalating when necessary

Stay updated on industry trends, best practices and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Required skills and qualifications:

7+ years of experience working as a residential site superintendent or residential trade foreman with a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and on budget

In-depth knowledge of how to work in furnished & finished high end residences

Proven methods for managing crews to adhere to construction best practices, building codes, safety regulations and quality standards

Familiarity with building departments in North Bay, San Francisco and the Peninsula

Expert technical understanding of systems - Drainage, Waterproofing, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical etc.

Proficiency in project management software, scheduling tools and other relevant software applications such as - Software, Buildertrend, Microsoft office suite

Strong leadership and team management abilities

Outstanding problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively address challenges and make sound judgments

Strong written, verbal & interpersonal communication skills

Ability to communicate in english and spanish

A valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Experience in managing large-scale residential construction projects

Knowledge of cost control and budget management techniques

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results

Job type: Full time

Pay: $135k - $150k per year

Benefits: Company car, gas card, PTO & Sick time, Annual Bonus, paid holidays

Schedule: Monday - Friday with weekends as needed
