Part-Time Smog Technician at Family-Owned Car Repair Shop

Job Description:

We are seeking a reliable and certified Smog Technician to join our family-owned car repair shop in Castro Valley, CA. The ideal candidate will work part-time, preferably on Saturdays, with additional hours available Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

Perform smog inspections and tests on vehicles in accordance with California state regulations

Diagnose and repair emission-related issues

Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and calibrated

Communicate test results and necessary repairs effectively with management

Qualifications:

Must hold a valid California Smog Check Technician license

Prior experience as a Smog Technician preferred

Strong understanding of state emissions regulations and testing procedures

Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and efficiently

Strong communication skills with management and auto technicians

Details:

Location: Castro Valley, CA

Hours: Part-time; Saturdays preferred, with additional hours Monday through Friday

Pay: Competitive hourly wage
