CR Functional Fitness is a state-of-the-art 2100 sq/ft fitness studio in Petaluma offering one-on-one training and small group classes. We are the only studio in the North Bay dedicated to working exclusively with older adults.

As more people understand the importance of resistance training for healthy aging, the demand for our services is rapidly growing.

Our current clientele ranges in age from 50 to 98, from highly-fit individuals to clients who use a walker. Regardless of their level of fitness, the goal for all our clients is to increase their strength and bone density which results in better mobility, lessens the risk of falls, and manages chronic conditions. In short, we help older adults maintain – and improve – their quality of life throughout the aging process.

Position: This is a part-time, hourly personal trainer position with the potential to expand to full-time. No prospecting required; marketing is handled by employer.

Compensation:

The objective is to have the employee working independently with clients as soon as possible. From that point, compensation will be commensurate with completed coursework and number of training sessions per week.

Starting at $20 hour with a guaranteed 8 hours per week. There is a 90-day trial period.

Upon completion of required coursework (paid for by CRFF), compensation will be a combination of commission at a higher hourly rate plus educational hours at $20/hour.

As the employee’s education and client base increases, commission will also increase (to a maximum of 65% of the client per session rate).

Hours:

Employer and employee will work together to determine scheduling.

Must be able to work some weekend days.

Qualifications:

Mature, compassionate individual with a passion for serving older adults

Good communication skills, basic computer skills, organized and committed to customer service

Operational knowledge of: Resistance training equipment and proper form; anatomy and biomechanics; injury prevention and training clients with physical limitations; basic movement assessments

Must hold Personal Training Certification from NASM – NSCA – ACE – ACSM – ISSA – NFPT – or other accredited organization

Social media experience (content creation and posting) is a plus

Previous health club and/or personal training experience is a plus

AED/CPR/First Aid Certified

Proof of citizenship or legal status
