Under the general supervision of the Property Manager, assists the manager in the overall operation of the property. We have 13 units in 4 buildings in the Victorian District of downtown Petaluma. My brother and I own the units and are easy going. We also have a part time manager that lives downtown to help cover some of the duties. Hours per vary on how many units come up.

Responsibilities:

Run Zillow rental adds with photos and clever advertising.

Show the units and screens prospective residents for occupancy.

Prepares, processes and signs leases and rules.

Reviews all completed rental applications and leases for accuracy and completeness

Assists with inspections and monitoring handyman workers.

Rent collection will be done by the owners. Non payment of rent will need action taken - 3 day notice to pay or quit.

Writes warning letters and prepares legal notices to residents.

Submits required reports and maintains records.

Performs related work and other duties required.

Qualifications

Excellent problem solving, listening, and deductive reasoning skills.

1- 2 years property management experience. Some training may be available if you were in a related field.

Must have valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.

Knowledgeable regarding City of Petaluma rental laws other rules that pertain to tenants.
