Company Overview:

At 2B Living Property Management, our mission is to Run Properties Right. We’re all about Building it Better with Kickass People, guided by our core values of Solving Hard Problems, Growing Courageously, and Rowing Together. We’re looking for a Part-Time Resident Manager who’s ready to take on the on-the-ground operations at a multi-residential property and ensure a 5-star experience for our residents and prospective tenants. If you’re detail-oriented, results-driven, and passionate about making a significant impact, we want you on our team!

Position Summary:

As a Part-Time Resident Manager, you will take pride in the property and be the face of the property, engaging with both current and prospective residents. This role requires you to live on-site at the managed property, making you an integral part of the community you serve. You’ll collaborate with other 2BL team members and vendors to ensure the property is always up to 2B Living’s high standards. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating a welcoming and well-maintained community while also boosting occupancy through effective tours and tenant interactions. Compensation includes a free apartment at the managed property and commission incentives for closed leases.

Key Responsibilities:

Open House/Touring: Host two open houses per week, showcasing available units to prospective tenants, answering questions, and highlighting the benefits of living in the community. Touring prospective tenants is a key aspect of this role, with commission incentives provided for closed deals. (6 hours per week)

Deliver Resident Notices/Tenant Engagement: Engage with residents by delivering notices and building strong community relationships through regular interactions. Ensure residents are informed and feel valued. (2 hours per week)

Building-Wide Property Walk/Inspection: Conduct thorough walk-throughs and inspections of the property weekly to ensure all areas are clean, safe, secure, and visually appealing. Identify opportunities for improvement and address any issues promptly. (1 hour per week)

Maintenance Support & Quality Control: Assist with basic maintenance tasks such as lockouts, unit checks, and coordinating with vendors to ensure prompt and efficient resolution of issues. (0.5 hour per week)

In-Person Team Check-In: Attend a brief in-person meeting with the property management team to discuss updates, address concerns, and align on weekly goals. (0.5 hour per week)

Tenant Liaison: Serve as a point of contact for residents, fostering positive relationships, ensuring their safety, satisfaction, and responding to issues efficiently.

On-Call for Emergencies: As the designated resident manager, you will be available for on-call for emergencies, ensuring quick and calm responses to urgent situations, and maintaining the property’s safety and security.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience as a resident manager, or experience working for a property management company is strongly preferred.

- Prior experience in sales, hospitality, or service industries, with a focus on delivering positive experiences and interactions is preferred.

- Take accountability for enhancing resident satisfaction and operational efficiency.

- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.

- A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle are required.

What We Offer:

Free Apartment: You’ll receive a free apartment at the managed property, which is a wage credit for 10 hours of work per week (40 hours per month).

Potential managed property location: Artthaus Jack London / Artthaus Ninth

Commission Incentives: Earn commissions on every lease you successfully close

Application Process:

If you’re passionate about property management, love engaging with people, and are excited about the opportunity to live on-site, we’d love to hear from you. Apply now by submitting your resume and a cover letter detailing why you would excel as an on-site Resident Manager, with a focus on how your sales and hospitality experience will attract and inspire people to choose our property as their home. If you prefer, in lieu of a cover letter, you can send us a short video or audio clip as well. You can easily record and submit your clip using Loom or Vocaroo, both free and user-friendly tools. Simply create your video or audio, generate a shareable link, and include it in your email with your resume.
