Under the direction of the Chief Program Officer, the Program Director fosters the management, development and growth of a Behavioral Health or Social Services program, while ensuring high-quality treatment for clients and collaborative working relationships among staff, County partners and stakeholders, and the entire community.

Essential Duties:

1. Oversee the management and coordinate all aspects of the program. Contracts in the program may include EPSDT/Medi-Cal, Drug Medi-Cal, early psychosis intervention services, juvenile justice contracts, foster care, adoptions, and various other contracts and grants.

2. Employs excellent leadership skills to oversee hiring, development and performance management including training of program staff and ensure clinical soundness of services offered through ongoing monitoring and evaluation of staff and services. Ensure program staff are well-supported while being held accountable to meet program standards.

3. Ensure prudent fiscal management within the planned budget and approve expenses.

4. Provide clinical supervision and clinical coverage as needed as well as administrative supervision of staff, and ensure relevant information is communicated to program staff.

5. Responsible to ensure program meets contract deliverables, outcomes, and provides high-quality, clinically indicated services to clients within required timelines.

6. Maintain positive working relationships with County partners and other community agencies and agency stakeholders and represent the program and agency by proactively participating in appropriate meetings.

7. Oversee outcomes data collection and is responsible for the Performance Quality Improvement (PQI) aspects of program: goal setting, overseeing data gathering and analysis, and implementing changes to improve results.

8. Maintain a significant utilization review system and ensure all documents and records meet compliance standards and are maintained securely.

9. Actively participates in agency activities, events, and training opportunities.

10. Coordinate operational activities with Aldea administrative staff.

11. Abides by all provisions of the Aldea Policies and Procedures Manual.

12. Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned.

Reporting Relationship:

1. Chief Program Officer

Subordinate Staff (providing direct or indirect supervision):

1. Clinical Supervisor, Social Workers, Prevention Supervisor, Therapist, Behavioral Health Counselor, AOD Counselor, Behavioral Support Counselor, Prevention Specialist, Interns

Qualifications:

1. A PhD, PsyD, or Master’s degree from an accredited or state approved graduate school in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

2. Previous experience as a program director desired, preferably in a non-profit agency.

3. Current LCSW, MFT, or LPCC license in California and maintains licensing throughout employment.

4. Excellent leadership and communication skills and demonstrated ability to motivate a team as well as the desire and ability to manage systems and act as a key member of the agency leadership team.
