Part-Time Assistant Designer
California, San francisco bay area 00000 San francisco bay area USAHomemakr is a real estate home staging company based out of San Jose, CA. We are a 3 year-old startup that is looking for motivated and creative people to join us in transforming houses into homes.
Qualifications
This position is for a home stager/designer with a minimum of 1 year of experience in interior design or staging homes for sale
Prefer 2 years of experience related to home furnishings, real estate, or staging/design
You’re a visionary thinker - you can see the potential home in an empty space
Be able to multi-task and coordinate with your team members for staging installations and removals
Must possess a good eye for home design and decorating as well as strong attention to details
Work well independently and with other team members/lead designers to produce a design that shows off the assets of the home we’re designing
Self-motivated and thrive in a fast paced, constantly changing environment, works well under pressure, and effectively meets deadlines
Possess excellent customer service skills
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Be able to lift up to 30lbs
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to/from the project site
Responsibilities
You will be actively involved with staging installation and design/decorating of each staging project with duties that involve but are not limited to: packing, lifting, unpacking accessories, hanging art, making beds, and more!
Staging happens in 3 Steps:
Step 1: Planning/Designing for a Project: Select furniture, decor, and art from the inventory in our warehouses that will fit the specifications of a given staging project
Step 2: Pack + Prep for Installation of Staging: Wrap and pack decor for safe transportation to the project site, label furniture and accessories for quick placement in the home
Step 3: Install Staging in the Home: Guide crew members to unload the truck and place furniture and boxes in the correct locations. Unpack decor. Place accessories, direct arrangement of furniture, fluff pillows, steam linens, clean up after so we leave no trace behind us.
Contribute to the organization of the warehouses
Take inventory of furniture and decor items in the warehouses
Bonus if you’re great with photos or social media to show off your work

Part-Time (5-25 hours per week)
Hours usually Monday-Friday during business hours
Pay/Benefits
$19-$25/hour depending on experience
