Assistant to horse trainer

We are seeking a Trainer’s Assistant / Horse Helper to help us manage our English, Hunter-jumper horse facility. Tasks include: Feeding hay & grain, cleaning about a dozen stalls a day, turning the horses out into their pastures, putting horses on the exerciser, lunging horses in the round pen, maintaining the barn, sweeping, doing laundry, grooming and helping with projects. It would be great if you can interact with clients so you can help with getting everyone ready for their lessons. There's also a possibility to ride is you have good strong riding skills.

We have a small training and boarding business in Corralitos just outside of Watsonville. We’re Looking for a smart, motivated, organized, fit, dependable and handy horse person who can work 5 or 6 days a week: 8:30AM - 5PM. Pay is $22.50/hr. Please be available to work, local and have experience working with horses.
