Warehouse (Mon-Fri) dayshift $22 + Benefits

Long established successful East Bay importer/distributor is looking for Warehouse Order Selector to pick and pack orders for customers. This is a Monday through Friday full-time, day shift position. Company offers a competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, as well as company sponsored 401K Plan and profit sharing.

Minimum Qualification Requirement:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Minimum requirement of a high school diploma or GED.

Two (2) years of safe operation of lift trucks and pallet jacks.

One (1) year experience working with food products or the ability to quickly learn requirements of working with food products.

Ability to read shipping orders to review products being selected.

Capable of visually inspecting incoming goods for conditions that indicate possible food contamination or adulteration.

Must be able to frequently lift 55 pounds.

Flexible and able to multi-task in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail and follow-through, and have good penmanship.

Dependable and resourceful.

Ability to work independently and in a team atmosphere.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Accomplish and maintain all duties and responsibilities is a safe manner.

Inspect condition and receive incoming goods.

Perform a combination of tasks to prepare customer orders for shipment.

Operate electric pallet jacks and forklifts through all areas of the warehouse to collect product from shelves and other storage areas.

Build a stable pallet board containing a variety of shapes and sizes.

Label each customer order and review order for completion

Read shipping orders to review products being selected and evaluate the way to build the pallet to coordinate with delivery schedule of driver.
