Packaging and Customer Service Associate

Salary

$22 an hour plus tips (Avg: $2+/hr) (Raise assessment within three months.)

$40 Weekly food credit to be applied to GRK Meals

Qualifications

Attention to detail

Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment

Experience with handling food

Thoughtful and aware of food safety and cleanliness

Team player

Ability to engage with customers during weekly pick-up

Basic Computer skills (we work with an app for our jar return-sustainability program)

Capable of independent work

Passion for sustainability is a plus!

Required Hours

Sun. 9am-4pm, Mon. 9am-5pm, Tues. 9am-6pm,

24-26 hr/week (end times may vary slightly)

Golden Roots Kitchen is a prepared-meal service focused on providing clients with the highest quality and most flavorful food possible. We are dedicated to cooking with integrity, from scratch and with intention while maintaining a positive work environment. Each week we curate a menu of organic, gluten-free, highly-flavorful food to prepare and execute over the course of Thursday - Tuesday. When all orders are packed, they are ready for delivery or pickup from our Scotts Valley kitchen.

Our packaging team works to assemble prepared dishes and present them in an appealing composition with attention to detail and efficiency. At the end of production they pull orders together, ensuring clients receive their orders without error. This packaging associate will also run our Tuesday pick-up days, when they will help clients pick-up their order and manage their jar returns.

Our service is membership-based and we take our responsibility to nourish individuals and families seriously. This means a focus on ingredients and environmental impact. We choose packaging materials that are compostable or re-usable. Our packaging support team member will work closely with our packaging manager to execute chefs instructions for packaging food items from soups, to frittata to muffins and lots in between.
