Pastry Cook- Fine Dining Steak House

Birk's Restaurant, an upscale, high volume, fine dining operation is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual for the Pastry Cook position who will perform duties in a conscientious, pleasant and professional manner. The primary duties include producing homemade standardized desserts and other tasks assigned by the chefs.

PASTRY COOK JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The successful candidates must possess a professional and positive demeanor, good communication skills, and excellent hygiene and grooming are requirements for this position. A minimum of three to five years food industry/pastry experience is preferred. Must be able to work independently with limited direct supervision. Efficiency and organization are crutial. Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to four (4) hours in length. Must be able to reach, bend, kneel and frequently lift up to fifty (50) pounds. Must also be able to speak clearly and listen attentively. Must maintain a neat appearance and professional demeanor.
