Sous Chef and Cooks for New Restaurant in Los Gatos

Lele Kitchen – a brand new restaurant in Los Gatos – is seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef, Pantry Cook, Prep Cook, and Dishwasher to join our team. As the sister establishment of the popular bakery and coffee shop Lele Cake, Lele Kitchen’s menu blends Californian and Eastern European flavors to offer creative, high-quality dishes. Our goal is to bring a unique and memorable dining experience to the Los Gatos and South Bay community. We will open for dinner service from 5 to 9 pm, starting in late September.

We’re Looking For:

- Culinary background in casual yet elevated dining (for Sous Chef and Pantry Cook)

- Culinary experience (for Prep Cook)

- Passion for creative, high-quality cuisine with attention to detail

- Ability to work closely with the Head Chef to execute the restaurant’s vision

- Strong team-player skills

- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen

Responsibilities:

- Prepping seasonal ingredients: farm produce, local fish, lean meats

- For Sous Chef: Execution of the menu – 3 amuses, 3 appetizers, and 4 mains, using a binchotan grill, deep fryer, siphon, and sous vide

- For Pantry Cook: Execution of 3 amuses, 2 appetizers, and plating of 6 desserts

- Ensuring consistency and quality in every dish

- Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards

Schedule:

- Thursday through Monday, 40-hour workweek with an afternoon start and early evening finish (12-8 for prep cook or 2-10 pm for sous chef and pantry cook)
