Hiring FOH Service Professionals: Host, Counter, Server

Hiring three positions for fun fast, paced restaurant and delicatessen in North Berkeley.

Seeking to fill Server, Host and Counter positions.

Seeking applicants who want to work 3-5 days per week (part time and full time positions available)

Both morning and evening shifts available.

Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Must be able to stand and walk for up to six hours and lift up to 30 pounds

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly and experienced Server to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction. Your main duties will include taking food and drink orders, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area. Duties:

- Greet customers and escort them to their tables

- Present menus and provide detailed information about the available options

- Take accurate food and drink orders from customers

- Relay orders to the kitchen staff and ensure timely delivery of meals

- Serve food and beverages to customers in a professional and courteous manner

- Check on customers throughout their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns

- Clear tables and clean dining areas to maintain a tidy appearance

- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately

- Collaborate with other team members to provide excellent customer service

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a Server or in a similar role preferred

- Knowledge of bussing, Toast POS, food service, food handling, basic math, hospitality, customer service, food industry, food safety, and cash handling is desirable

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members

- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude

- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
