Join Our Team at Surf City Sandwich!

Surf City Sandwich is a locally-owned, craft sandwich restaurant serving chef/owner created, made-to-order hot and cold menu items. We're located in the Soquel Tower Plaza and open Monday through Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

We Are Seeking:

An experienced Line Cook for both hot and cold lines (mostly hot) with:

1-2 years of experience

ServSafe Food Handler Certificate

Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and knife skills

A team mentality and willingness to take direction and follow recipes in a fast-paced kitchen

A kind, respectful, reliable, punctual, courteous, honest, and hard-working attitude

Pride in your work and maintaining a clean workstation along with a neat/groomed personal appearance

Ability to lift 40-50 lbs. and stand for long periods

Availability for 4 (possibly 5) shifts per week between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (Most shifts end by 3:30 p.m.)

Weekend and holiday availability (when open) is a must! (We are closed on New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, and Christmas)

Hourly wage (BOE) plus excellent tips (paid weekly)

$100 bonus payable upon sustained employment (TBD upon hire) and performance-based raises

A fantastic part-time day job, offering 20-30 hours per week (4-6 hour shifts, 4-5 shifts per week)
