ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
● Facilitate safe and fun participation on challenge course elements.
● Respond kindly to camper and group leader questions, providing exceptional customer service that models friendliness and relationship-building in all interactions.
● Lead program activities as scheduled.
● Regularly inspect Challenge Course Elements.
● Maintain administrative materials in a neat and orderly fashion.
● Initiate, strengthen, and maintain good communication with other staff, supervisors, and visitors.
● Keep outdoor gathering areas and walkways clean of excessive leaves, branches and dirt.
● Proactively work to reduce risk in the camp by reporting observable safety and risk situations and ensure prompt reporting of workers comp claims.
● Report supplies and\or service needs to the Site Director or their designee(s).
● Attend and actively participate in department trainings, staff meetings, and special events as scheduled.
● Follow UCCR policies and procedures, including those related to child abuse prevention.
● Perform other duties as required.

Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to supervise program activities, ability to hike on rough / uneven terrain
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust between the two.
Ability to use cleaning and janitorial supplies and equipment
Ability to use landscaping equipment (primarily hand tools)
Ability to use visual and auditory sense to identify and respond to problems and hazards
The majority of work is performed outdoors
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED.
Experience working with children in an outdoor setting or in facility operations.
CPR, First Aid, AED certifications is preferred.
Previous experience with diverse populations preferred.
