Preschool Teacher LEAD TEACHER & AIDES

Gateway Preschool Academy is a Christian preschool serving children 2- 5 years of age. We are seeking an enthusiastic, Teacher Aide of similar faith background to join our amazing team!

Location: South San Jose (near Tully & McLaughlin)

Requirements for this position:

-Heart and passion for young children's growth and development

-Minimum 18 years old with high school diploma

-Strong command of the english language

Educational Requirements:

-Minimum 6 ECE units (preferred) for Aides

-Minimum 12 ECE Units for Lead Teacher

-Priority for California Commission on Teacher Credentialing permit holders

Licensing Requirements:

-Pass physical examination (LIC 503) and proof of TB clearance, MMR & DTAP vaccination

-Pass Live Scan background check (LIC9163)

-Mandated Reporter (LIC 9108)

-CPR/First Aid/AED Certified (preferred)

Physical Requirements:

-ability to lift 25 pounds

-ability to sit on the floor, kneel, squat to be fully engaged with children at their level

Hours: Mon-Fri: 8:30am-1:30pm

What we offer:

-starting @ $19/hr + for Teacher Aide

-starting @$24/hr + for Lead Teacher

-paid holidays, PTO

-25 hours/week
