Position Hours: Tuesday: 3:00 - 5:30 (2.5hrs), Thursday 8:30 - 5:30 (8hrs), Friday 8:30 - 5:30 (8hrs)

Summary Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant-Toddler-Preschool Teacher Assistant to join our childcare team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with infants, toddlers and preschool ages assisting in providing a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment conducive to their development.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Support other Staff members: Collaborate with the lead teacher in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of infants and toddlers.

2. Supervision and Care: Assist in supervising and caring for infants and toddlers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.

3. Daily Routine: Assist in maintaining a consistent daily routine, including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime, following established guidelines and schedules.

4. Classroom Management: Assist in managing the classroom environment, including maintaining cleanliness and organization of materials, toys, and equipment.

5. Communication: Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, providing updates on their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns observed during the day.

6. Developmental Support: Provide support during developmental milestones, such as encouraging motor skills development, language acquisition, and social interaction.

7. Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's attendance, activities, and developmental milestones, as required by licensing regulations.

8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.

9. Professional Development: Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education and child development.

10. Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, licensing regulations, and childcare policies and procedures to ensure the well-being of children and compliance with relevant guidelines.

Qualifications:

- High School diploma or equivalent required; Early Childhood Education coursework preferred.

- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers in a childcare setting is preferred.

- Knowledge of child development principles and practices.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

- Ability to work independently and take initiative

- Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children.

- CPR and First Aid certification required.

- Mandated Reporter Training required.

- LiveScan Fingerprints required.
