High School Track & Field High Jump Coach Needed

Piedmont High School is a public school located in the East Bay, near Montclair and Grand Lake, Oakland, and our Track & Field coaching staff is looking to hire a part-time high jumps coach. This individual would be contracted on a per-season basis (like the rest of the staff), and will receive a stipend for their efforts at the end of the season.

Our season begins on Feb 10 and runs through mid-May, 2025.

Requirements are:

- Attend practice a minimum of 3 days/week - Practices begin at 4:00 PM and run about 1.5-2 hours.

- Attend all 5 WACC meets (Wed or Thu, starting at 3:30)

- Attend at least some weekend invitational meets

- Completes certificates and other training (standard for working at a CA high school, can share details when we chat)

- Passion for Track & Field

- Passion for researching and applying knowledge

- Display kindness and empathy as our teenagers take on new challenges

PHS focuses on character and whole-person development, and believes that physical and athletic accomplishments have lifelong benefits. As a coach you will teach sportsmanship, competitive spirit, collaboration, and camaraderie, among other traits. We compete in the WACC, are a part of NCS and CIF.
