In collaboration with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and guided by the values and objectives of the Agency, the Finance Director supports the leadership, management and strategic vision of the financial performance of the Agency. Coordinates with the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Program Officer in the development of short and long range financial plans. Accountable for overall fiscal operations including, but not limited to, establishing and maintaining internal controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and systems to effectively support Agency growth and financial sustainability.

Essential Duties:

1. Provides strategic financial input and leadership on issues affecting the Agency.

2. Works closely with the CFO to plan, develop, implement, direct and evaluate the Agency’s fiscal function and performance.

3. Provides timely review and analysis of budgets, financial reports, and trends in order to assist the CFO in performing their responsibilities.

4. Coordinates with the CFO to drive the standardization and improvement of financial and planning processes.

5. Oversees Accounting Manager in providing education on financial issues impacting their budgets/programs. Identifies opportunities to optimize reimbursement within compliance guidelines.

6. Oversees the Accounting Manager in developing annual budgets and other forecasts of revenue and expenses.

7. Partners with the CEO and CFO to develop and implement financial plans and budgets.

- Accounting Manager

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or other related field. Masters Degree and/or CPA a plus.

2. Minimum 8-10 years experience in finance management and strategic planning in a multi-faceted health care related organization required. Previous experience as a CFO, Finance Director or Controller and in a Non-profit a plus.

3. Thorough knowledge of regulatory and accounting reporting standards, cost management techniques, financial analysis and budgets required. Med-Cal billing procedures/regulation a plus.

4. Demonstrated expertise as a financial and strategic leader, with excellent problem-solving skills, proven capability to motivate change, proven ability to balance execution of strategic vision with a willingness to dive into details and consistent results-orientation.

5. Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including excellent interpersonal skills (negotiation, listening and communication), willingness to challenge and improve current procedures and processes and an open and collaborative leadership style that promotes teamwork and partnership.
