C Network Management Software Engineer

Our direct client has openings for a Network Management Software Engineer position in the IOT Edge Laboratory located in Silicon Valley. The laboratory focuses on research, technology innovation, proof-of-concept activities, technical marketing and business development for novel energy solutions, around IoT technologies, and establishing clients as a leader in big data. Location: Santa Clara, CA. Hybrid Duration 6 months+ contract W2 with benefits Qualifications:

• Bachelors or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field with at least 2 years of industry experience in software development.
• Fluency in C/C language programming, and script language programming such as Python, and Javascript/Node-JS
• Experience with the software development or configuration/management for network components such as a layer-2 switch, a router, and a gateway, a base station is required.
• Experience with network management and configuration protocols such as SNMP, NETCONF as well as open source network monitoring platforms such as Zabbix is preferred.
• Experience with Docker and container management tools like Kubernetes or Portainer is required.
• Experience in Linux and shell scripting is required.
• Experience with Git and agile software development process is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
