About Clever Punch Co

We do branding and marketing for construction companies, architects, and the like. We are a full-service agency with services including websites, graphic design, copywriting, social media management, Google AdWords, PR and more. Our clients are either on a project basis, or work with us for ongoing marketing support. We are a small team based in Santa Barbara that works from the Kiva Cowork offices in the Funk Zone. We work with established (5 years or more) small to medium sized companies who are looking to grow their business and improve their look professionally. Business owners love our straight-forward, practical and honest approach. We are old school with modern tools!

So what does a Marketing Account Manager do?

The most important thing is you have to love people and want them to succeed. Second most important thing is that you have to have a sharp eye for good aesthetic and design. Third, you have to love to write and create!

Clever Punch's Marketing Account Managers are key role in helping accomplish our client's scope of work on a weekly and monthly basis. Each client has an array of tasks that relate to their big picture over-arching goals. Those tasks could include copywriting, graphic design, email campaigns, social media management, website design and updates, photography, analytics and even general data entry tasks. It's up to you to make sure we stay on track in completing the week's tasks for the time we have allotted. This role communicates with clients directly with updates or for approval and may work with other freelancers, delegating and approving their work. Account Managers work with up to 5 clients at any given time, and report to the General Manager who provides oversight and feedback with weekly meetings, and provides overarching feedback they receive from the client.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this junior position will have

- a caring attitude and a willingness to take ownership

- that "creative eye" with an aesthetic to know good design when they see it

- the ability to write intelligent and succinct copy for a brand

- a drive to accomplish tasks, and push through when obstacles arise

- highly organized, self disciplined and great at time management

- the ability to identify when designs are true to the brand

- beginner to intermediate graphic design skills

- an educational interest and/or past work experience in business or marketing

- working knowledge of the following programs is a bonus; canva, photohsop, illustrator, squarespace, wordpress, mailchimp

- willingness to be a team player and rely on other freelancers to accomplish tasks

Must be based in Santa Barbara, although some hours may be done remotely. This position is for 30hrs / week, M-F from 9am-3:30pm. Benefits include full time membership at Kiva CoWork, new iPhone, and paid vacation. Training could start as early as December (We are closed xmas to New Years.)
