Essential functions:

-Plans pastry production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature and appearance of food are preserved to ensure each and every diner has an outstanding experience.

-Prepares and coordinates preparation of breakfast and dessert pastries such as cupcakes, cookies, muffins, mousse, pies, cake pops, lemon bars, and brownies.

-Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques.

-Determines amount and type of food and supplies required using established protocols.

-Ensures availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation.

-Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards.

-Stores food properly and safely, marking the date and item following company policy and local health regulations.

-Keeps work area neat and clean at all times, cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation, and completes food temperature checks before service as required.

-Represents College Fresh with client, including student members, corporate headquarters, local alumni and house director or property manager on a daily basis.

-Performs routine assignments such as dishwashing, mopping, sweeping, garbage removal, and other daily cleaning functions as assigned

-Assists with special event meal preparation such as recruitment, homecoming, etc. as required.

-Serves meals during meal service if required.

-May be required to assist on other workstations (grill, omelet, salad bar etc.) during the absence of other staff.

-All other duties as assigned as directed by Food Service Manager

Preferred Education and Experience:

- Experience working in a bakery, or similar environment.

-1-2 years of working in a professional kitchen, restaurant and/or catering environment

-1-2 years of customer service experience
