Full Charge Bookkeeper position for a small general contracting company in Santa Barbara.

POSITION
Provides solutions-oriented bookkeeping services to multiple clients in our office
OVERVIEW
- Manage and support the bookkeeping needs for multiple clients
- Work with a diverse group of businesses, communicating regularly with clients to ensure they have a clean set of books, positioning each of the clients for financial success
- Build strong client relationships; become the go-to bookkeeping expert
RESPONSIBILITIES & RESULTS
- Successfully manage the daily bookkeeping tasks for 7-20 clients monthly
- Support daily bookkeeping needs when working as a team for client
- Perform daily AP, AR, Payroll, bank reconciliations, adjusting journal entries
- Knowledge of and experience with bookkeeping principles and can work with balance sheet accounts (debits-credits, liability, equity, A/R, assets)
- Prepare financial statements as needed
- Track data for W9 retrieval and produce 1099 reporting at year-end
- Track data for sales tax prep and produce sales tax returns
- Complete various bookkeeping-related projects for multiple clients
- Maintain integral communication with clients to review or discuss their bookkeeping activities
- Align as a partner with client’s internal team
- Professional presentation in person and via email, phone, or virtual conferencing
WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING US
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper
- Well versed in QuickBooks Desktop and understanding of platforms
- Excellent computer skills – server navigation, cloud experience, and experience with MS Office Suite
- Developed presentation, verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate with a team
- Function well as a team member - contribute to the group, accountable, complete and share tasks
