Senior Business intelligence Specialist
California, Sanfrancisco, 94102 Sanfrancisco USADescription We are seeking a BI/Analytics Specialist to drive the development of our analytics infrastructure. This role will involve hands-on work with Sigma to create impactful dashboards and reports, focusing on data extraction from Snowflake, which serves as our source of truth. The candidate will leverage SQL for in-depth analysis of data sourced from various vendors, including Salesforce, our core product, phone systems, Rev.io, payment systems, and more. Our goal is to effectively narrate our customers' activities and behaviors through data.The ideal candidate will manage large datasets, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our reporting systems. We have established the basics and are now focused on building key reports team by team, facilitating monthly reviews and accountability. Ultimately, we aim to enable self-service capabilities, allowing teams to manipulate reports in Sigma without relying solely on the analytics team.Requirements Key Responsibilities:
Build, maintain, and optimize dashboards and reports in Sigma.
Extract and analyze data from Snowflake using advanced SQL techniques to tell the story of customer engagement.
Develop performance queries and contribute to requirements documents to support the creation of metrics and reports.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Product, People, and Finance, to ensure data accuracy and actionable insights.
Design and develop a scalable analytics infrastructure to support business growth and decision-making processes.
Understand data structures and identify opportunities for improvement, proposing solutions to enhance maintainability and query performance.
Work closely with the data engineering team to address any performance issues and implement enhancements.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in SQL, with proven experience in Snowflake.
Strong expertise in dashboard development, with Sigma preferred.
Hands-on experience in creating scalable analytics infrastructures.
Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into effective data solutions.
Well-versed in sales processes, enabling better interpretation of metrics (experience with FANG companies preferred).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, ensuring alignment across teams.
Ability to ask insightful questions that contribute to building meaningful metrics and reports.
