Mechanic - Heavy Equipment
California, San diego, 92101 San diego USAHazard Construction Company is looking for an experienced Mechanic. The Mechanic is responsible for inspecting and repairing vehicles, machinery and construction equipment. The ideal candidate must be a team player, highly organized, detail orientated, and has the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Communicate with other employees by phone & email in a clear and concise manner
Use web browsers to research various items
Enter, maintain and ensure accuracy of maintenance records in accordance with company guidelines.
Scan fault codes, diagnose and perform needed repairs to various trucks and/or equipment
Perform electrical diagnostics and repairs
Skills:
Prior heavy equipment mechanic experience required
Solid knowledge of hydraulic systems
Light fabrication capabilities
Welding Certification (preferred)
Excellent verbal communication skills to accurately report diagnostic findings to Supervisors.
Excellent interpersonal skills with employees, senior managers, and other external parties.
The ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate multiple tasks.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential as is the ability to work extended hours when timeline requires
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR FORMAL TRAINING, YEARS OF EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND/OR SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the mechanic field, including heavy construction equipment.
Class A Drivers License with HazMat endorsement, ability to obtain post-employment available
Self-motivated and proactive solution seeker.
An outgoing, positive attitude while working alone and with a team
All Hazard Construction positions require satisfactory completion of a physical ability test and clean drug and alcohol screening.
