Delivery Driver

Description

A growing food manufacturer in North County San Diego seeks a Part-Time Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate would be able to work on Saturdays and Sundays in addition to being a responsible delivery driver for artisan baked goods in the evening & early morning.

Responsibilities

Deliver a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes. There are two routes that vary only slightly day by day.

Follow route and time schedule, as well as load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate delivery vehicle.

Complete logs and reports.

Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.

Must be flexible when it comes to working overtime for business demands. Overtime may require weekends when needed.

Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.

Must be able to consistently lift 50 lbs. and remain active for majority of the workday.

Qualifications

2 years related experience preferred, food industry experience a plus

Driver’s License – Class C

Forklift experience required

Forklift certification preferred

Strong attention to detail

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Proactive and productive with excellent creative problem-solving skills

Interpersonal skills are key for success in this role; candidates must have the ability to work with internal and external professionals and work independently as well as in a team environment
