San Diego, CA Facilities Technician & Warehouse Job Opportunities
California, San diego, 92101 San diego USAFacilities Technician (San Diego, CA 92121) $29-$30/hr.
Onsite, 6-month temporary position a leading biotechnology company, focused on helping individuals with GI disorders and autoimmune diseases. As a Facilities Technician, you will perform activities for the maintenance and repair of building support systems, laboratory equipment, security, and maintaining grounds. Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, refrigeration, and control systems related to cGMP manufacturing and general Laboratory Operations; ensuring system compliance and to support company operations as required. This is a Monday-Friday, 7am-5pm position and would require being on-call every other week.
Facilities Technician Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with 4-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires competency in the appropriate and safe use of hand tools, electrical test devices, carts and other support hardware utilized in the repairs, assembly and transfer of equipment and furnishings.
3+ years of experience in an Engineering/Manufacturing/Operations environment including operation, maintenance, and repair of centrifugal chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, and reheat systems.
3+ years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing air conditioning and refrigeration units (heat pumps, split systems and cold room condensing units).
Experience in a Laboratory/cGMP environment a plus.
In-depth knowledge of building automated controls required. Experience with Siemens Apogee highly desirable.
Proficient in central plant operation, record keeping and data analysis.
Experienced using Windows based applications including Outlook, Word and Excel, AutoCAD experience a plus.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to frequently required to stand, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Ability to walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Facilities Technician Duties & Responsibilities:
Performs preventative maintenance to building and grounds to include laboratory equipment, central plant equipment, and general office equipment.
Utilizes the Building Management System (BMS) to track and maintain building conditions and operation of facilities and laboratory equipment.
Performs preventative maintenance on HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, and vacuum systems and controls as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Serves as key contact with HVAC, refrigeration, compressed air, and vacuum system vendors.
Utilizes strong mechanical and electrical skills in order to complete assignments.
Performs interior painting, includes repairing and preparing walls for painting and applying various types of paint. May require the use of ladders and scaffolds. Applies caulking and rubber base and installs and repairs wall coverings.
Coordinates outside service contractors including janitorial, HVAC, pest control, waste management, vending and security. Enforces safety practices of outside service providers.
Moves desks, tables and other office furniture. Installs and breakdown cubicle office partitions. Sets up conference rooms, training room for company events as necessary.
Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet project schedules.
Fulfills requests from other departments for work orders and confers with departments to coordinate activities for maintenance/repairs.
Provides emergency standby support to handle emergency and off-hours calls.
Knowledge and experience maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment a plus.
Knowledge and experience performing EH&S functions a plus.
Facilities Technician Pay Scale of Starting Pay for role: $29-$30/hr.
Stockroom Clerk (San Diego, CA 92121) $18-$18.50/hr.
This is an onsite, day shift (6am-2:30pm), 6-month temp. opportunity! As a Stockroom Clerk, you will work within the stockroom, ensuring efficient stock replenishment, maintaining inventory accuracy, and actively participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
Stockroom Clerk Qualifications:
6+ months of experience in warehouse or kitting/assembly experience.
School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Attention to detail is a must.
Knowledge of MS Office is preferable.
Ability to lift 25lbs.
Stockroom Clerk Responsibilities:
Assembling products/kitting
Responsible for the Receiving/Shipping of products according to company internal procedures while maintaining quality and teamwork in the process.
Remains productive and fulfills a high volume of orders daily.
Adhere to all current Good Manufacturing Practice requirements.
Conducts inventory Cycle Counts and research as needed for discrepancies.
Maintains accuracy with paperwork and documentation pertaining to shipments such as: creating and printing shipping labels, commercial invoices and other documents as needed.
Maintains cleanliness in the shipping area and other workspaces by following housekeeping rules and maintaining clean hygiene.
Follows up on any pending items in a timely manner.
Assists in maintaining control and record of all product.
Handles accurate data input into the shared system for tracking and reporting purposes.
Performs quality assurance checks and verification as needed.
Follows internal procedures and remains up to date on any changes.
Performs all other stockroom related duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Stockroom Clerk Pay Range: $18-18.50/hr.
