Landscape Install Crew Member Level 1

The Landscape Installation Crew Member Level 1 is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks in order to manage the timely completion of landscape construction contracts. The Landscape Installation Crew Member Level 1 will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks in a professional and safe manner.

Job Duties:

-Assist in the preparation of jobsites prior to the beginning of a project

-Operate various tools and equipment, including chainsaws, jackhammers, measurement equipment, shovels, hammers, drills, etc.

-Assist in the construction of walkways, fences, decks, posts, etc.

-Perform preventative maintenance on tools and equipment by conducting inspections, lubricating, and cleaning on a daily basis

-Dig trenches

-Perform land clearing activities

-Plant garden beds, slopes, and lawns

-Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects

-Transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting and carrying

-Assist Landscape Construction Foreman with job-related tasks

-Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times

-Comply with all company policies and regulations

-Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations

-Follow instructions of landscape foreman, managers, and supervisors

-Keep truck, trailer, tools, and equipment clean and orderly

-BE ON TIME EVERYDAY!

Requirements:

-High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

-Valid, current, and clean California driver’s license

-Must be able to listen and carry out verbal instructions

-Time management skills

-Ability to work as part of a team

-Be willing to learn!
