Nighttime Caregiver needed for 3-4 nights a week - starting ASAP

Overnight care is required 7 days a week and will be split with another Caregiver. (2 caregivers total)

We are currently looking for a Nighttime Caregiver (fluent in English) to join our team in a private home in Poway. We provide care for a married couple in their 80s, their 4 dogs and 1 cat.

You will be joining a great team of caregivers, so a positive attitude and team mentality is a must! We are a fun, relaxed team but we work hard to take great care of our Employer's home and family!

Compensation: $18/hour

Shift: 9pm - 7am (10 hours OVERNIGHT)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

An overnight caregiver provides personal care, supervision, and support to seniors throughout the night. In this role, you work a night shift to assist clients with all of their overnight needs. Your duties can include helping the individual to the bathroom and with other personal hygiene needs like changing clothes/bedding or possibly quieting the dogs' barking in the night or early mornings.

You are responsible for supervising closely in case of a medical emergency during the night and to offer assistance in any overnight emergency or evacuation as needed.

Caregiver is allowed to read, watch tv, or rest while on shift, however, they MUST be a light sleeper and able to provide care at any time during the night. The husband has dementia and can wander at night, needing assistance back to bed and the dogs can start barking at any time throughout the night and assistance is needed in calming/quieting.
