Perform a variety of clerical functions.Greet patients in-person and via telephoneVerify insurance eligibility and copy insurance cardsPerform financial and eligibility screening for clinic programsPrint daily schedule and confirm next day’s appointmentsComplete appropriate paperwork as needed for patients: school excuses, Head Start forms, etc.Make follow-up appointments for referrals from other sitesCall, reschedule and mail letters to all N/S patientsResponsible for patients checking in through completing encounters, personal records forms, etc. QualificationsMinimum QualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalentOne year customer service experienceBilingual English/SpanishCPR Certification (including BLS Child, Infant, Adult with one-time hands-on skills training) Required Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Health/Dental Records systems, NextGen preferredEffective verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, clinicians and other staffAbility to interface with all levels of personnel in a professional manner, including people of all social, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and within the constraints of government funded programs Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionAbility to type minimum 35 WPM Ability and willingness to meet the organization’s attendance and dress code policiesAbility to handle confidential materials and information in a professional mannerExcellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfactionExperience/familiarity with computers, business e-mail, communication systems and internet search capabilities; proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel Preferred Skills/Knowledge/AbilitiesExperience/familiarity with Practice Management and Electronic Medical Records systems, NextGen preferredPay Range$18.00 - $21.00 DOEPI239701797 Apply
