Healthcare Agency Housekeeper - $18.50/hr
California, San diego, 92101 San diego USAHealthcare Staffing Professionals, Inc. is looking for Healthcare Agency Housekeeper for this position located in Santee, CA. Candidates will work in a Skilled Nursing Facility that provides long-term, 24-hr skilled nursing care for individuals.
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr (weekly pay)
Locations: Santee, CA
Shifts: 2 Available Shifts: Tues-Sat, 7am to 3:30pm and Sunday-Thurs 7am to 3:30 pm
Essential Functions:
Cleans and disinfects patient care areas, bath tubs, showers, restroom fixtures, drinking fountains, clinic/patient care furniture/equipment, windows, doors, and screens, blinds, walls, light fixtures, mirrors, showers and tubs using a variety of cleaning agents and equipment.
Collects and transports infectious waste and disposes of waste in locked regulated bins.
Cleans isolation rooms and patient bodily fluid spills using infection control techniques.
Assists in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the patients.
Displays a positive and caring attitude toward patients and visitors.
Replenishes lavatory supplies and cleaning materials.
Cares for and cleans floors by sweeping, mopping, stripping, sealing, waxing, and buffing floor areas.
Ensures public safety in work areas by posting notices, roping off areas to passage or other such methods.
Vacuums, shampoos, spot cleans and/or deep steam cleans carpets and upholstered furniture; moves furniture incidental to cleaning activities.
Dusts, polishes and cleans desks, tables, shelves, cabinets, woodwork and other furniture including metal.
Cleans and disinfects ice machines, food preparation equipment and clinical equipment.
Collects and disposes of recycled materials, medical waste and/or trash.
Empties and cleans waste receptacles.
Replaces soiled linens, draperies and cubicle curtains; distributes patient laundry and clean linen.
Keeps work station, utility or storage rooms, and equipment clean and in orderly condition.
Prepares work activity logs and initiates requests to replenish supplies.
Services and makes minor repairs to tools and equipment.
Makes hospital beds (Edgemoor facility).
Cleans entrance ways and public use areas outside buildings and other such activities.
Turns out lights, locks doors, and windows.
Arranges rooms for patient activities, auxiliary workers and others.

Skills and Abilities to:
Use cleaning equipment and tools
Operate floor care scrubbing machine with minimal instruction
Prepare cleaning materials including the selection of proper tools and cleaning agents
Perform basic arithmetic calculations, including percentages, fractions, and quantities

Communicate effectively orally and in writing
Establish effective working relationships with management, employees, employee representatives and the public representing diverse cultures and backgrounds

Three (3) months of verifiable paid housekeeping and/or custodial experience in a hospital, health care facility, or commercial or business setting.
