Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are a leading staffing firm partnering with a reputable company in San Diego, California, to fill a critical role for an Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering the chance for professional growth and development within a supportive and collaborative environment.Position Overview:As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the company's receivables process. This position entails processing invoices, maintaining aging reports, applying cash receipts, managing collections, issuing credit memos, and maintaining vendor relationships. We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced professional to join our client's finance team and contribute to their continued success.Key Responsibilities:

Process invoices accurately and in a timely manner

Maintain aging reports and monitor outstanding balances

Apply cash receipts to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies

Conduct collections activities to ensure timely payment of outstanding invoices

Handle credit memos and adjustments as needed

Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Assist with vendor management and resolve issues related to accounts receivable.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounts receivable experience required

Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
