Staff Accountant (MS Dynamics 365)

Description We are working with a client that has a large International and US presence, and looking for accountants who are interested in joining their team! This is a contract to hire opportunity and permanent hire will be determined based on performance and technical experience. Core Responsibilities:

Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

Process land lease payouts and review contracts, W9s correctly registered, and allocate sales tax monthly.

Maintain accurate project accounting records, including tracking costs, budgets, and change orders.

Review and approve vendor invoices and subcontractor bills for accuracy and compliance with contractual terms.

Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.

Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger records for month end close.

Review detailed bank statements and perform accounts reconciliation.

Correspond with corporate office on intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

Multi-state payroll processing and review, as well as assisting with onboarding.

Support the company with ad-hoc projects such as software research and /or implementation.

Requirements

A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum 2 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role.

Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting.

Experience with construction or fixed asset accounting.

Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with MS Dynamics 365 is a requirement.

Ability to learn and adapt to new accounting software.
