DescriptionSAIC is looking for an experienced Production Manager to join its Joint Range Extension (JRE) team. JRE is a software product which resides on various computer platforms that we produce. As a Production Manager you would be responsible for the organization and oversight of all JRE related manufacturing, schedule, product quality and timely delivery. The selected applicant should be familiar with the following: ISO-9000, inventory tracking, Factory Acceptance Testing and have a minimum of 8, or more, years in a production environment. This position will be onsite in San Diego, CA.JOB DUTIES:· Ensure proper entry & hierarchy accuracy of products into database.· Ensure existence of appropriate production item (hardware/software) configuration checklist/documentation.· Oversee development and update of new or out-of-date manuals for existing products.· Review, develop and improve documentation through coordination with production, CM and QA staff.· Liaise with other managers to define objectives and understand requirements.· Contribute to costs estimates, budgets, and scheduling.· Works closely with the leads, subs, and Program Managers to review drawings, designs, or instructions to improve documentation, build quality and manufacturing processes.· Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines.· Monitor production processes and resolve issues.· Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel (quality inspectors, support teams, etc.).· Determine quantities of necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, test tools, support teams) and report issues or concerns to immediate Sr. Manager.· Provides regular status reports and updates the team in biweekly deliverables call and weekly production meetings.· Modify processes to improve efficiency, testability, and quality.· Tracks and ensure deliverables are shipped early, or on time, and meet quality standards.· Contributes to design reviews and proposals as requested.· Enforce health and safety precautions.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:· Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering (BSEE) degree and 8 or more years of experience in a production or production supervisor role.· Proven experience as production manager/supervisor.PREFERRED SKILLS:· Cable building, PWB assembly, soldering, and other general computer manufacturing knowledge and experience.· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other project management software.· Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts.· Experience in reporting on key production metrics.· Proficient in MS Office and ERP software.· Outstanding communication ability.· Excellent organizational and leaderships skills.· Attention to detail.· Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.· Familiarity in Government Contracting Production Facility preferred.· Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations.· Deep knowledge of production management.Target salary range: $100,001 - $125,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
