We are looking for you to join our team as a Cyber Systems Engineer based out of San Diego, CA. As a Cyber Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. Through the use of Model-based Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile practices we continue to evolve how we deliver critical national defense products and capabilities for the warfighter. What You'll get to Do:
  • Develop technical solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities and automate repeatable tasks
  • Compliance verification of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Secure Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Service security alerts and bulletins, and DISA/DoD standards.
  • Perform system and security scans (ACAS, SCAP, Anti-Virus), prepare reporting, and provide assistance for security initiatives.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining documentation, processes, and procedures.
  • Review and support security information and event management.
  • Support third party security assessment activities to include COTS and GOTS software.
  • Oversee and manage the Cyber Security practices of program support systems
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Information Systems, Systems Engineering or other STEM degree with a minimum of 2 years experience; OR 0 years experience with a Masters (MS) degree in STEM; an additional 4 years of relevant experience/education can be considered in lieu of a Bachelors Degree
  • Systems engineering experience with an IA background
  • DoD Risk Management Framework experience
  • At least one IAT Level II 8570 Baseline Certification (CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP).
  • Candidate should have great interpersonal skills and be willing to work on a team project
  • CLEARANCE: Must be a US Citizen and must have or be able to obtain a Full Secret clearance before you start
Preferred Qualifications:
  • DoD 8500-series and 8510.01 policy directives, approaches to cyber security, knowledge of security procedures, IATO and ATO requirements
  • CSSP Analyst 8570 Baseline Certification, (CEH,CFFR, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER) OR IAT Level III 8570 Baseline Certification (CASP CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH).
  • RMF (documentation) and Risk Management Framework experience
  • 2-5 years experience with communication systems and able to work in a quick reaction program environment
  • Experience with Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN); BACN Intra-flight Data Link Subsystems
  • Experience with programming languages (c/c, c#, java, python, or html5)

Salary Range: $90,600 USD - $136,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
