Laundry Attendant

DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a laundry attendant for our state of the art Laundromat located at 1131 Highland Ave in National City, California. We are currently seeking someone with a positive attitude that enjoys interacting with people and helping them. Customer service is our main goal. Individuals must be able to handle stressful situations professionally.

SCHEDULING

We currently have three shifts, 6 AM – 2:30 PM, 2:30 PM – 11 PM, and 5 PM - 11 PM. We are seeking an individual that is able to work all shifts and is able to work any day of the week including holidays and weekends. Set shift is not guaranteed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Laundry attendant’s duties include but are not limited to:

Taking out the trash

Cleaning the restrooms

Cleaning the machines

Sweeping and mopping the facility

Assisting customers with their laundry needs

Washing, drying, and folding services for clients

Answering phone calls

Maintain an acceptable state of cleanliness and organization throughout the entire work area.

Respond to clients issues and concerns in a timely and professional manner

REQUIREMENTS

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English and Spanish, which are the primary languages used in the workplace.

Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.

Must possess basic computational ability and be willing to learn.

Be able to carry and lift up to 30 lbs

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

High school or equivalent education preferred.

Experience

No experience needed; however prior experience is greatly desired.
