CSL Staffing is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist for a well-established and stable company in Valley Center, CA. This is an excellent Temp-to-Hire opportunity for a skilled accounting professional looking for career growth.

Position Details:

Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Valley Center, CA (In-Office)

Schedule: 9/80 Work Schedule (9-hour workdays, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday during training period)

Pay Rate: $31-$33.50 per hour (DOE)

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process high-volume AP transactions (50+ invoices per week)

Coordinate approvals, prepare check runs, and manage vendor accounts

Handle vendor correspondence and reconcile accounts

Manage all aspects of AR, including invoicing, posting payments, and reconciliations

Banking & Credit Card Management

Perform complex bank reconciliations, including Zero Balance Accounts (ZBA) and sweep accounts

Process transactions, track receipts, and manage deposits

Purchasing & Requisitions

Manage purchase requests from multiple departments

Research vendors and place orders

Accounting Support & Financial Reporting

Post journal entries, enter deposits, and assist with audits

Prepare financial reports and contribute to month-end close processes

Maintain financial security and internal controls

Assist the Controller with various accounting functions

What We’re Looking For:

Experience: Minimum 5 years in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

Education: Minimum Associate's Degree in Accounting or Business

Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software such as MIP, Sage Intacct, or QuickBooks

Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to reconcile accounts accurately

Independence & Teamwork: Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team

Growth Mindset: Eagerness to learn and expand your accounting expertise

Communication: Strong ability to report financial details to the Controller effectively
