We are a family owned local transportation business and looking for a reliable team member.

THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION.

The Accounting/HR Specialist will be responsible for assisting in payroll, human resources and administrative activities. This position reports to the Administrative Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Verifies information and maintains accounts receivable reports including but not limited to monthly sales, open invoices, and aging reports.

Receives checks and prepares deposit slips; verifies remittances against business accounts; deposits checks daily.

Ensure timely processing of payments, managing late payments and discrepancies effectively.

Maintain precise financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, leveraging accounting software and spreadsheets.

Handle vendor invoices promptly, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.

Supports administration, coordination, and application of company-wide human resources policies, procedures, and practices.

Assisting the HR Team with day-to-day operations of HR and administrative functions.

Maintain human resource information system (HRIS), which may include managing new hire paperwork and uploading documents to employee files.

Assist with the preparation for new hires and terminations by preparing paperwork, completing checklists, updating employee files, and ensuring training is up to date.

Filing accounts payable, creating and maintaining employee personnel files, I-9 filing and tracking, create new hire packets, track benefit enrollment dates.

Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

Combination of training and experience equivalent to three to five years of progressively responsible clerical, administrative, secretarial, and/or technical experience, which has provided the applicant with the required knowledge and abilities to successfully perform job duties.

Experience in transportation / bus charter industry.

Basic knowledge of Accounting / HR laws and regulations.

Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude with a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Preferred familiarity with software including Coach Manager, and Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook).

Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong interpersonal skills.

Working Hours:

Schedule: 8-hour shift, 40 hours per week.

Full-time hourly employee eligible for benefits.

Benefits: Paid sick leave and vacation time, medical.
