Security Patrol for Regional Transit

Position Description:
Patrol and Monitor: Conduct regular patrols on light rail vehicles and platforms to deter criminal activity, ensure passenger safety, and respond to incidents promptly.
Customer Assistance: Assist passengers, answer inquiries, and offer directions, creating a positive and helpful presence on the light rail.
Incident Response: Respond to and address security incidents, including but not limited to disturbances, suspicious activities, and emergencies, following established protocols.
Report Generation: Maintain detailed and accurate reports on all activities, incidents, and observations during shifts.
Collaboration: Coordinate with local law enforcement, light rail staff, and other security personnel to enhance safety and security measures.
Emergency Preparedness: Be prepared to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently, ensuring the safety of all individuals involved.
Requirements:
Valid Security Guard License: Possess a valid security guard license by state regulations.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
Observational Skills: Keen attention to detail and excellent observational skills to identify potential security risks.
Physical Fitness: Ability to perform regular patrols and respond quickly to incidents, including the ability to stand for extended periods.
Reliability: Punctual and dependable, flexible to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with other security personnel, transit staff, and law enforcement.
