Business Litigation Associate
California, Sacramento, 94203 Sacramento USAPrestigious Sacramento law firm is currently seeking an Associate Attorney with approximately 2-5 years of business litigation experience to join its Business Services Practice Group. Bankruptcy experience would be a plus, but is not necessary. Candidate must be highly motivated, responsible, creative, willing to learn, with excellent writing and oral advocacy skills. Significant opportunities for advancement for self-motivated individuals. Salary range for this position would be $120,000 to $155,000, depending on experience with an expected 1750 hours requirement.
Primary responsibilities in this position involve working on a daily basis with a litigation team to help solve complex legal problems for our clients. Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Persuasive legal writing
Law and motion proceedings
Preparing for, taking and defending depositions
Legal research
Propounding and responding to discovery
Qualifications
At least 2-5 years of litigation experience; bankruptcy experience is a plus, but is not necessary
Exceptional research and writing skills, and a superior academic background
Interest in business litigation and willingness to learn other areas of law
Ability to effectively work with people, exercise sound judgment, and establish and maintain professional relationships with clients and colleagues
Must be able to multi-task, creatively problem solve, and complete projects efficiently
