Assistant Manager Position - Station 16
California, Sacramento, 94203 Sacramento USAStation 16 is looking to hire an exceptional leader. We are looking to hire an Assistant Manager to be the second in command to the General Manager and ensure the restaurant operations run smoothly. The responsibilities include overseeing the activities of restaurant staff, expediting customers’ orders as needed, and maintain good working relationships with suppliers.
To be a successful leader, you should exercise effective management skills and take necessary disciplinary actions to address poor staff performance. Ultimately, we are looking to hire someone with the ability to achieve exceptional customer service and ensure that customers have a pleasant restaurant experience.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but not limited
· Oversee all front and back of the house restaurant operations
· Ensure customer satisfaction through promoting excellent service; respond to customer complaints tactfully and professionally
· Maintain quality control for all food served
· Analyze staff evaluations and feedback to improve the customer’s experience
· Project future needs for goods, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products; order accordingly
· Oversee health code compliance and sanitation standards
· Seek ways to cut waste and decrease operational costs
· Generate weekly, monthly, and annual reports
· Train new employees and provide ongoing training for all staff
· Establish daily accountability for registers by ensuring each register is properly funded the correct amount of cash and close out each register to ensure all funds are accounted for
· Monitor and supervise the timely arrival of scheduled employees, be aware of unforeseen challenges like scheduling conflicts and see to it the business is adequately staffed
· Establish task for employees to ensure a clean workplace, this includes stocking supplies and maintaining clean restrooms and public spaces
· Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior
· Ensure proper approval for customer discounts, returns and exchanges while providing customer satisfaction and positive interaction with the company
· Train new employees on the policy and procedures of the company, from personal appearance to how to handle a negative customer experience
Restaurant Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications
· High school diploma required
· Significant work experience in management and the hospitality industry
· Strong working knowledge of food and beverage service
· Ability to use restaurant management software
· Strong leadership skills
· Decisive and critical thinker
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· The ability to stand for extended periods
· Effective communication skills
· Exceptional customer service skills
· Food handling certification and experience is preferred in for service industry positions
· Leadership and team building skills are essential as working with a diverse group is an important function of the position
