Part-Time Kitchen Steward/Janitor

Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates is a luxury chocolate boutique in Midtown Sacramento. It is a family-owned business which has been operating for 16 years and has become a cornerstone of midtown Sacramento. Our chocolates and desserts are inspired by local California farms and all the wonderful ingredients grown around us. We strive to create a positive work environment where our employees are encouraged to grow not only in their profession, but as individuals as well. Our commercial kitchen where production takes place is located in West Sacramento.

As a Part-Time Steward/Janitor/Dishwasher for Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates, you will be responsible for our commercial kitchen's cleanliness, including:

Wash dishes by hand in a 3-compartment sink

Keep kitchen, refrigerators/freezers, offices, storage rooms, bathrooms, and warehouses clean and organized

Take out trash and recycling

Restock all supplies

Sweep and mop

Close the kitchen

Other duties and projects as needed

The schedule for this job is Tuesday through Saturday from 12 PM - 4 PM.

Job Requirements:

Follow written and verbal instructions, including cleaning procedures

Communicate effectively in English

Understand sense of urgency and efficiency

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 8 hours in length

Must have the ability to lift pots, pans, etc. up to 50 pounds in weight
