Unlock your potential!Job Summary and QualificationsAs a Clinical Pharmacist, your work plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by assuring the safe and the effective use of medications as needed. The Clinical Pharmacist monitors and evaluates prescribed therapies to promote optimal drug use and evidence-based practices to reduce risks of drug misadventures. You will have daily interaction with your pharmacy team, nurses, physicians and other facility staff in the hospital and intervene in conflicts between pharmacy and medical staff regarding drug therapy issue resolutions that may arise

You will provide medication information and consultation on pharmacokinetics, dose adjustments, orders laboratory tests, medication monitoring according to established policies and procedures

You will have the opportunity to participate in the training of new pharmacists, pharmacy students, and technicians

What qualifications you will need:

One-year acute care hospital experience required

Bachelor of Science or Doctorate degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy

Active pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy

Riverside Community Hospital is a large acute care facility with 517 beds, established in 1901. It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County. The hospital is accredited as a Chest Pain Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center and has a HeartCare Institute that offers both invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures.
