The 267-bed hospital offers major medical services including a Level II Trauma Center as well as specialized Cardiovascular Care Stroke Care Orthopedics Neurological Surgery Comprehensive Cancer Care Maternity Care and da Vinci Robotic Surgery. It is the sole provider of obstetrical services along with the only Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in Shasta County. In addition the hospital’s network of care includes Mercy Home Health and Hospice and Dignity Health Connected Living. These programs primarily support the organizations mission vision values and strategic goals to ensure quality safety and service in patient and family-centered care.This position will be flexible covering various shifts with an emphasis on providing support in the clinical setting. In general 80% or more of this positions time will be spent in the clinical arena and 20% or less will be spent on computer based activities. Position requires a positive motivated self-driven individual who can handle multiple projects simultaneously. The incumbent may occasionally be required to cover shift changes when necessary to be present at huddles (am or pm) and also weekends if new education is rolling out in order to meet needs of all staff. The position reports to the Director Education.QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
4 years recent clinical practice in area of specialty
Bachelors Degree in Nursing from an accredited school
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Word Processing applications Spreadsheets and Databases.
Experience with simulation training and Learning Management Systems
California Nursing License
Current American Heart Association BLS certification and ACLS certification
Other national certification as required by specialty clinical area
Preferred Requirements:
Specialty certification and/or 2 years teaching
2 years of recent critical care experience
Masters degree
Experience with graphics applications
