Assistant Maritime Tech needed

MAKAN YACHT GROUP is searching for an assistant technician to work on Yachts in Newport Beach and surrounding Marinas. Tell us about your interest within the Maritime industry and/or any interest/education in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, home repair, or diesel engines

Responsibilities

Assist in lifting, and holding materials and tools, and cleaning working areas

Utilize knowledge of power and hand tools

Employ knowledge with marine diesel inboard/outboard marine engines Assist in diagnosing marine engine malfunctions and help effect repairs to restore equipment to an operating condition

Assist in purchasing required parts and/or supplies

Assist in any needed repairs on vessels: electrical, plumbing, mechanical, etc

Be able to summarize tasks preformed within time tracking system

Qualifications

Requires the ability to be able to get on and off vessels with ease

Must want to pursue a career within the Marine industry

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Possess High School Diploma

Current Driver License required

U S Citizenship

MUST pass pre-employment background check

Strong communication skills

Fast learner
